He decided to further his experience by completing a General Dentistry Residency at the Nassau University Medical Center, where he became a Chief Resident and assumed teaching responsibiilties in his 2nd year. He practiced comprehensive dental care including esthetic and implant dentistry, rotary endodontics, surgical exodontia and full mouth rehabilitation, while also working in a private office in Bayshore, Long Island.

He's currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association and the Milford Dental Society.
In 2007, Dr. Joseph attained an Attending Faculty position at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and was appointed to the staff of the Yale School of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor. Through this position, Dr. Joby Joseph supervises and instructs recent dental school graduates who are accepted into Yale’s residency program in General Dentistry. These dentists have decided to further their dental school education by completing this post-graduate residency program, in which they learn advanced topics in dental health and practice all aspects of clinical dentistry. Dr. Joseph only teaches at Yale part-time, so that he can spend most of his time in private practice treating patients for their individual dental needs.
As well as teaching other dentists, Dr. Joseph loves teaching patients and has lectured within the Milford community at places such as Foran High School and the Milford Health Department.
